Over the Christmas holidays, Marlene and I finalized our decision to attend Faith Builders under the MAP program. We hope to complete the entire program, but may not depending how things pan out in a couple of arenas. It's a pretty monumental decision, but comes as a natural extension of our hopes for the future.
Fare thee well, fine Lancaster County! On to the rigors of the chilly Northwest!
ps - Anyone looking for a great job in Lebanon, PA? I love what I do here. If you enjoy computers or playing with electricity, a good budget, great coworkers, and finding solutions to challenging technical needs, I'd be happy to hear from you.

wow! That sounds really exciting!! care to explain a bit more what the rationale is for going to MAP?
Upon reading your post, I can't help but ask: What are your plans for the future?
Very well then, Kyle. Follow your heart's leading. May the Lord bless you and your wife as you pursue this admirable endeavor.
@karm48 - Why the MAP program? Because the prospect of becoming a schoolteacher is terrifying! MAP's more generalized track is attractive because I'm not entirely certain where it will be applied. TAP's emphasis on teaching gives it an exclusivity I'm not prepared for.
@QuasarstoQuarks - Plans for the future... hmm... Sometimes I look at FB a bit like I did college. I wasn't sure where I would apply the technical abilities gained in college, but was convinced I would - that I wanted to. After a little while, I have... the process is extremely rewarding!
At FB, we hope to develop tools which will enable us to serve more effectively wherever we are. We hope to develop the mind and heart of Christ, from that building his kingdom and gaining the ability to make descisions as he would. Time at FB won't unlock the secrets of our future, but will assist us in developing a mind which will.
We won't curse the darkness when we have withdrawn our light.
